Refunds

Legal compliance
This returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This law applies to all transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations.

Your rights as a consumer
In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off period' in which you have the right to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund. We will accept accept returns within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping cost if the return is a result of our error.

How to cancel within the 7 day cooling off period
Should you wish to cancel your purchase within the 7 days 'cooling off' period, please email us at: sales@greatbridge.co.uk. We can also be contacted by phone on 01837 82146. The UK is the country of domicile.

We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to give us your name and address, and a copy of your purchase receipt.

Refunds for unwanted goods
Providing that unwanted goods are received by us in unused, unopened and re-saleable condition within 30 days of delivery, we will refund payment for the goods. Orders placed by credit or debit card from this website will be refunded directly to your credit or debit card. Orders placed by other means will be refunded by cheque. These refunds will be made within 30 days of return of goods. Returns are subject to a discretional 15% re-stocking charge.

Please note we cannot refund products which are opened, damaged or have been registered by the user - as it is impossible for us to sell these products on.

How secure is WorldPay?
WorldPay uses state of the art security tools and techniques, both proprietary and unique, to ensure that you, the shopper, are protected against what is nowadays a virtually non-existent risk. The system also has inbuilt system redundancy and fault tolerance, to provide you with a virtually uninterrupted service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Their systems have evolved over many years and throughout their history they have continuously sought and gained bank approval for our systems.

If the shopper keys in their card details at home or in the office, surely they are not encrypted until after they arrive at the WorldPay system?

Using industry standard SSL, Thawte and WorldPay unique encryption systems, this is not actually the case. When the shopper fills in the payment form and clicks the submit button, their details are not sent straight away. What actually happens is that a secure link is set up between the shopper's browser and WorldPay and an encryption code is requested and received, which then wraps the order and transaction details before leaving the shoppers premises.

What level of encryption do you have on the WorldPay server?
WorldPay use Thawte 2048 bit encryption systems. At the browser 128 Bit SSL is used.

What is a digital certificate?
A digital certificate is an electronic document that is passed between a browser and a server, in order to verify the identity of the sender.
